ST 295 Peer Review Instructions
For the peer review part of this project, you will earn a grade for providing constructive feedback for another group’s work.
Timeline
Feedback is due by 11:59pm on April 15th. There is no late window. We need to make sure that groups have their feedback in a timely manner.
Project peer review
Each team will review one other teams’ project. You are estimated to take roughly ~30 minutes on your assignment.
You can find your the group you are assigned to review below:
Your Group | Assigned Group for Peer Review |
---|---|
team-1 | team-2 |
team-2 | team-3 |
team-3 | team-1 |
ex. team-1 is assigned to review team-2s project
You will get access to these groups on April 10th.
Then, each member within a group will provide separate feedback for their assigned group. That is, issues will be created by two different people for the assigned group.
To open an issue in the repo you’re reviewing, click on the Issues tab -> New Issue -> Peer Review. Fill out the respective questions to share with your assigned group.
Feedback Structure
You will notice that you are answering questions about their project, as well as providing constructive feedback. Both forms of feedback are extremely useful. For example, if you summarize the goal of their project to be something that is unintended by the group… this is valuable information.
Grading
Peer reviews will be graded on an individual basis on the extent to which it comprehensively and constructively addresses the components of the reviewee’s team’s report. The peer review will be based on good + honest work. Here is the tentative rubric:
0 points: No peer review
2 point: Feedback provided is incomplete
4 points: Feedback provided is not constructive or actionable
8 points: Feedback provided is not sufficiently thorough
10 points: Both peer review issues open, both reviews are constructive, actionable, and sufficiently thorough
